I got persuaded into going by a close friend. I have never been that close to fainting!
@Japandriftingstrong A friend of mine told me that he could smell what everyone had eaten in the past day because it seeped out of their pores. He said he smelled like onions and the girl next to him smelled like Rice Krispies. Maybe that was some of the fart smell you smelled. However, I’m sure with legs spread in the air after a day at work, farts are slipping out all over that room.
MY GOD! I have done mostly everything health wise….every cleanse ever…long fasts, about a year raw vegan…(now I’m doing raw eggs/meat), chinese herbs….EVERYTHING including omni gym yoga and tons of sports….BIkram yoga is the best thing I’ve found so far…I’m into my 8th class and my back is getting insanely ripped….I Also it’s helping me look inside and dissolve my pain so that I can live with greater awareness. Thanks yoga people!

For Bikram Yoga, I love to wear the Bellissima clothing line. It’s so cute and comfortable. I get it at Bodywear Boutique. They have a website too.
I just tried a class today with a friend, it was great, loved how I felt afterwards. I would suggest to those interested to try at least one class
@Trisnic yes, the sweating detoxes the body and i find my skin has become clearer and just looks and feels better
@1974ruby skin?
@1974ruby : i had a class abt 1 mths, it’s so great, but in VN, dont have bikram yoga.
(
I know, get a heater and make a room in your house really hot and exercise, bikram exercising XD
I practiced Bikram Yoga, my thoughts:
Pros: Great for flexibility, good for consistent improvement in balance, leg strength and flexibility. Good for mental focus.
Cons: The heat element is excessive, simply too hot for some people and that has nothing to do with fitness levels. You shouldnt be sweating THAT much on a daily basis-fact. No upper body elements in the postures. Expensive.
In all-good, if u can afford it but u should combine with other fitness activities, dont practice daily.
I have been doin Bikram yoga ..and its abt a week..i really feel relaxed after gettin out of the class..god its so fuckin hot….and de smell but we do get used to it..really yoga helps a lot ..it soothes your body overall…Definately doinit for amonth ..cuz its too expensive…who eva doin do it and keep on doin ,,,cuz its got lot of healths benefits !!
@cj1016able probably cause you’re the one doing it.
@Japandriftingstrong
I’ve been going to hot yoga for 8 months and that doesn’t happen!!!
@Japandriftingstrong That’s nasty! I’ve felt like I was going to throw up a couple of times when I first began Bikram yoga. As for the farting, I think it’s just the students way of getting back at the teachers!
I did this class and loved it! Too bad its so damn expensive lol otherwise Id get a years worth and do it every damn day, its great, and ya it smells so bad but once you get over it your good, and as for difficulty…its nothing compared to power yoga!
Once I’d gotten over the smell of feet its the best exercise I’ve ever done. Great for the mind and soul!!!
@Japandriftingstrong Dude are you serious! lol
Have heard so much good about Bikram and really want to start some sessions, but classes are some 45 miles away from me. Still working on making it work.
For those who are dedicated – well done, keep up the good work.
For those who are faultering – well done, make the most of it. People like me would love to be where u are. Be strong and push just that little bit harder.
@isabellehebert oh, yeah, it wasn’t pleasant. one girl vomited during the class, she ran out and you could hear her throwing up.
@handelsme
You breathe through the lower part of your stomach and then contract the muslcle, just as if you were getting a punch.
@Japandriftingstrong
Jesus Christ!! lol
Hi all. So I went to a Bikram Yoga class for my first time the other day and I really enjoyed it but some exercises were not explained? Like the breathing at the end? what exactly are you doing? I do Pranayama breathing and what my instructor was doing was different.
I love bikram yoga! My brain hates going to class but my body is addicted to the natural high!
